Providing care to those who can’t afford it
Helping Colorado’s Safety Net Clinics To Thrive
The Colorado Safety Net Collaborative is a collection of community-grown healthcare clinics across Colorado that provide care for those who can’t afford it. These clinics are not federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) or rural health clinics (RHCs), giving them greater flexibility in how they serve their communities and allowing them to provide culturally responsive care that fills the right needs. Since 2019, the Collaborative has helped clinics access funding and other resources to provide critical care in their communities.
Our Impact on Our Communities
About 700,000 Coloradans don’t have any health insurance. Our clinics help to fill the gap by providing healthcare to those who are uninsured, on Medicaid, or otherwise can’t access it.
Colorado Safety Net Collaborative clinics are grown from the communities they serve. Patients receive culturally relevant care often from providers in their own neighborhoods, who share their experiences and understand their needs and concerns.
Our Impact on Our Participants
The Colorado Safety Net Collaborative helps clinics access funding and other resources to provide care in their communities. Clinics can also share knowledge and work together to make sure everyone in Colorado receives high-quality, culturally relevant care—no matter their ability to pay.
